Sr. Director, General Manager, Purification

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Director, General Manager, Purification to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This leader will own a strategic business segment with responsibility for growth, profitability, and long-range portfolio direction. The role calls for a commercially minded operator who can align innovation, product development, and market strategy across a global business. It will also require close partnership with R&D, business development, customers, and external thought leaders to shape the segment’s future.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic business segment within the BioProduction group
• Develop global portfolio strategies and define innovation roadmaps
• Oversee product development and commercialization across consumables
• Manage financial performance while achieving growth and profitability targets
• Collaborate with R&D to drive new product development
• Establish strategic partnerships and acquisitions with business development
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders and customers

Qualifications

• Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in a relevant field
• 5+ years of general management experience with P&L responsibility
• Demonstrated success managing business segments over $325M
• Experience developing and executing business strategies
• Strong analytical skills for market analysis and forecasting
• Proven ability to lead global cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills

Pay

$212,000 – $305,000 annually
