About the role
The Global Vertical Lead - Discrete Manufacturing, will drive Belden's global Go-to-Market strategy & execution to achieve our three-year Accelerated Growth objectives through our Solutions offerings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the go-to-market plan and execution for Discrete Manufacturing, a priority industry vertical, including annual operating plans, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Identify and prioritize target customers, segments, regions, and partners, collaborating with regional leadership to align on strategic accounts globally.
- Own the value proposition and drive the roadmap of industry specific use cases and solutions.
- Develop the Ideal Customer Profile for the Discrete vertical market and priority archetypes.
- Partner with Belden’s Global Product Solutions organization to drive innovation and refinement of the industry-specific use cases and solutions.
- Support the adoption of Demand Generation Engine strategies, including paid media, syndication, and nurturing, to grow top-of-funnel opportunities and drive whitespace penetration efforts.
- Serve as the vertical market SME within the organization, working closely with Marketing and other cross-functional teams to develop and enhance Discrete market customer-facing content, including pitchbooks, battle cards, and promotional materials.
- Provide hands-on support to front-line teams to establish new customer relationships and expand existing accounts. Engage in win strategy calls and Customer C-level discussions.
- Provide coaching to regional teams on vertical market trends, challenges, and effective discovery techniques to build credibility in customer engagement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership in strategic planning activities, aligning with Belden’s growth objectives.
- Participate and lead activities within and across Go-To-Market teams as part of an integrated, cross-functional pod.
Requirements
- 10+ years building and executing sales plans at the client Executive level, global experience preferred.
- 5+ years in Industrial Automation within the vertical.
- Experience leading and influencing large, cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Experience in delivering growth via new account business development within a vertical.
- Experience in presenting and leading executive level meetings.
- Management experience with P&L ownership or marketing preferred.
- Solution selling experience demonstrating client outcome-based value.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or STEM preferred, Master's degree advantageous.
Qualifications
- Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for industrial automation markets.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in complex, multi-national environments.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and market trends in the discrete manufacturing sector.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Pay
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $180,000 - 225,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.
