Sr Director, Application Engineering

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a mission-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available. Compensation: $220,000 – $240,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise applications delivery and operational health for business processes
• Translate business solutions into engineering execution plans
• Align delivery with business priorities and governance standards
• Collaborate with PMO on capacity planning and project execution
• Lead complete lifecycle management from build to retirement
• Ensure high availability and reliability of production systems
• Drive application complexity reduction and AI adoption

Qualifications

• 10+ years in application engineering or enterprise systems leadership
• Proven experience leading teams in ERP, CRM, HRIS, or finance applications
• Experience in high-pressure environments with needed prioritization skills
• Strong background in application lifecycle management and production operations
• Familiarity with modernization, simplification, and automation initiatives
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development practices
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders across business and IT domains
