Sr. Direct Support Professional - FT

PAY RANGE

$21.00 - $21.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience and certifications)

Make a real difference by helping individuals with developmental disabilities live vibrant, meaningful, and independent lives on their own terms. As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll build trusted relationships and provide personalized support that honors each person’s strengths, choices, and goals.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Provide personalized support that honors each person's strengths, choices, and goals
• Assist with care to a group of people who enjoy doing puzzles, going to the park, doing arts and crafts, going to the movies, and shopping
• Be present and celebrate small wins
• Encourage independence and promote dignity, independence, and choice in daily routines
• Advocate for each person's rights and help build their confidence and sense of self
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
