About the role
The Product Manager for the Digital Envelope product team at Charles Schwab Digital Retail is responsible for delivering intuitive, compliant, and scalable front-end experiences that enable representatives and clients to efficiently complete document and workflow-driven processes. This role requires strong collaboration, clear decision-making, and a relentless focus on user experience and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the Digital Envelope product roadmap and backlog, ensuring alignment to business priorities and client/rep experience goals
- Act as Product Owner for a dedicated front-end scrum team, driving sprint planning, backlog grooming, and execution
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized work
- Partner with engineering and design to deliver high-quality, scalable front-end solutions
- Design and optimize rep-assisted workflows, ensuring a seamless experience across digital and advisor/rep touchpoints
- Partner with stakeholders across service, operations, and compliance to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory needs
- Focus on improving speed, accuracy, and ease-of-use for both internal users and clients
- Drive the evolution of the Digital Envelope experience, including document workflows, client interaction flows, and digital completion journeys
- Identify opportunities to simplify and modernize document-driven processes
- Ensure tight integration with upstream and downstream systems impacting the client journey
- Collaborate with UX research and analytics to understand user pain points and behavior
- Engage directly with internal users (reps, service teams) to validate solutions and gather feedback
- Communicate product priorities, progress, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders
- Track performance using metrics and user feedback to continuously improve the product
- Identify and remove blockers to keep the scrum team moving efficiently
- Support release planning, testing, and go-to-market readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in digital product management or product ownership
- Documented experience working as a Product Owner in an Agile scrum environment, particularly with front-end teams
- Strong ability to translate business needs into product requirements and user stories
- Proven experience managing product backlogs and prioritization
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team (product, design, engineering, operations)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
- Experience supporting rep-assisted or service-driven experiences
- Familiarity with financial services and regulatory environments
