About the role

The Sr. Digital Media Forensics Team Support (Computer Forensic Specialist) position supports a Federal Government client. The availability of this position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Supports digital media forensics investigations and incident response activities.
• Conducts digital forensic examinations of electronic devices and data storage media.
• Ensures compliance with legal standards and regulations during forensic examinations.
• Collaborates with law enforcement and government agencies to provide evidence and technical assistance.
• Prepares reports detailing findings and conclusions from forensic examinations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of host based forensic experience and must have DoD Certified Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE).
• Digital forensic certification, such as Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), or EnCase Certified Examiner.
• At least 2 years of mobile device forensics experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma - 14 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Associate's degree - 12 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Bachelor's degree - 10 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
• Masters' Degree - 10 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.

Skills

• Proficiency in digital forensics tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of legal standards and regulations related to digital forensics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
