Sr Digital IT Communications Specialist

About the role

Serves as the strategic internal communications partner for Honeywell’s Digital IT organization, with primary responsibility for the IT Networks, Infrastructure, and Digital Employee Experience function.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Digital IT leaders to develop and execute internal communications strategies that strengthen employee engagement, understanding, and alignment with Honeywell’s growth and enterprise priorities.
• Lead communications for IT initiatives, services, organizational changes, and leadership transitions, translating complex technology topics into clear, relevant, and audience appropriate messaging.
• Drive measurement and analytics across IT communications to assess effectiveness, surface insights, and continuously improve engagement and outcomes.
• Elevate the quality and impact of communications by guiding content strategy and storytelling, ensuring messages are simple, visually compelling, and easy for employees to understand and act on.
• Oversee and contribute to editorial planning and multi-channel execution in partnership with Corporate Communications, supporting Digital IT priorities and reinforcing Honeywell’s growth narrative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in internal communications in a corporate or an agency environment.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication are required, as is mastery of English.
• The ability to think strategically and provide communications counsel to senior leadership and lead the development of communication strategies and plans to drive results.
• Expert-level storytelling ability and writing skills, with ability to quickly develop clear, concise messages.
• Excellent and ruthless editing skills.
• A willingness to be hands-on with writing and editing to get content produced efficiently and on deadline.
• IT communications experience is a plus.
• A willingness to challenge the status quo, think creatively and take intelligent risks in raising the quality of communications across Honeywell.
• An extraordinary ability to work productively with executives, clients, and partners at all levels.
• The ability to handle pressures and demands from multiple clients and competing priorities.
