Sr. Designer CSM

Responsibilities

• Develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), piping plans, section diagrams, general arrangements, and isometrics in 2-D or 3-D environments.
• Check drawings for accuracy, including dimensions, spelling, drafting standards, and completeness using correct project design criteria.
• Participate in field walk downs to obtain measurements, verify as-built documentation, and develop field sketches in support of plant modifications and design installations.
• Exercise independent judgment to develop designs with minimal direction from Design Supervisor, Design Lead, or Engineering.
• Support multiple projects concurrently and communicate with project engineers and other disciplines to develop drawings and resolve design discrepancies.
• Interface with customers and their construction representatives to integrate designs that meet their standards.
• Oversee multi-disciplined design projects.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree in drafting, design, or engineering technology or 4 years of equivalent experience in the design of systems.
• Experience: 9 years (minimum) of experience in engineering drafting and strong familiarity in the design of mechanical systems.
• Other Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CAD software packages and Microsoft Office software, and a working knowledge of design practices, codes, and standards applicable to mechanical systems.
