Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to complete magnetics design for target applications.
• Independently performs complex engineering work where others may lack the experience or knowledge to bring about satisfactory completion.
• Directs Technicians or production personal in completion of sample builds, qualification builds, evaluation of materials and processes to be employed in new product design.
• Maintains knowledge of the competitive status in the field for the group’s products and of other products that may be of interest to the division.
• Responsible for distribution of pertinent information to all areas that might benefit from the knowledge gained.
• May be called upon to travel to customers, other manufacturing locations, material, and equipment suppliers.

Requirements

• 10+ years progressive experience as a design engineer in magnetics and/or Switch mode power supply design.
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Must be a US person due to ITAR product restrictions.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Skills

• Knowledge of materials, equipment, and production processes.
• Technical leadership in areas of electrical, mechanical, thermal and safety agency requirements.
