The Space Actuation team in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Sr. Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of Moog’s Space Actuation team, you will report to the Sr. Mechanical Design Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in design engineering in a complex manufacturing environment; Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of engineering principles, documentation standards, and drafting practices
- Experience communicating with the technical community including customers and vendors
- Experience and in-depth knowledge with mechanical CAD (MCAD) tools
- Practical knowledge and/or experience with technical drawing practices and GD&T standards
- Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Experience with Siemens NX MCAD design software and Teamcenter PLM is preferred
Responsibilities
- Translate complex project requirements emanating from a variety of sources, creating computer models, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings
- Oversee technical design, implementation, or delivery of projects, processes, or programs
- Contribute to cost-effective design and functional products by working closely with systems, project, and quality engineering teams
- Create and check detail drawings for completeness and accuracy; ensure the Bill of Material (Parts List) for product design is accurate and complete
- Ensure basic integrity of designs and layouts using correctness of proportionality, sizing, dimensional accuracy, and tolerance limits
- Suggest or specify materials to conform to design requirements and assist in the selection of acceptable processing procedures

Pay
Buffalo, NY: $95,000.00–$140,000.00 annually
