About the Role
As a Sr. Demand Planner at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to supply chain excellence and customer success. You will develop and manage credible demand signals, create accurate 18-24-month rolling forecasts, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights, support new product introductions, manage product lifecycle transitions, and provide critical insights for strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities

- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align commercial strategies with operational capabilities
- Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights to optimize inventory levels while maintaining high service levels
- Engage with commercial teams and customers to build effective partnerships and enhance forecast accuracy
- Support new product introductions, manage product lifecycle transitions, and provide critical insights for strategic business decisions
- Implement process improvements, support team members, and contribute to the organization's operational excellence initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience and at least 5 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain
- APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
- Strong proficiency in statistical forecasting methodologies and SIOP/IBP processes
- Experience with ERP systems and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement
- Experience with demand planning software (Demantra, Kinaxis, or similar tools)
- Proven track record of improving forecast accuracy and reducing bias
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred
- Knowledge of Power BI and Salesforce.com preferred
- Strong business acumen and understanding of manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and mentoring skills
- Experience facilitating meetings and driving consensus across stakeholder groups
Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen.

Pay
The salary range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $84,400.00–$112,500.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
