About the role

The Default Loan Servicing Specialist – Asset Management plays a crucial role in supporting all facets of REO liquidation across USDA, VA, and Asset channels, while also providing coverage for FHA Post Sale workflows. This role requires a hybrid schedule, consisting of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with REO activation processes and MSP updates.
  • Cook up occupancy checks, broker assignments, and valuation orders.
  • Maintain preservation requirements and vendor communications.
  • Handle Cash-for-Keys workflows for occupied REO assets.
  • Review valuations and support claim processes.
  • Manage REO closing workflows.
  • Support FHA conveyance timelines and HUD claim readiness.
  • Aid in CWCOT/2nd Chance reviews and auction coordination.
  • Monitor eviction status and coordinate with legal teams.
  • Support Title Curative reviews.
  • Maintain accurate loan documentation across MSP and related repository systems.
  • Ensure compliance with investor, insurer, and agency guidelines.
  • Apply updates from policy and regulatory changes.
  • Support multiple teams depending on operational demand.
  • Communicate risks, status updates, and escalations.
  • Participate in audits, QC, and billing rule refinement.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years experience in property preservation, REO, asset management, or default servicing.
  • Familiarity with USDA, VA, and FHA post-sale processes.
  • Strong knowledge of MSP, LoanSphere, Yardi/P260, FHA Connection.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience handling multiple loan types.
  • Vendor oversight experience.
  • Understanding of REO valuation methodologies.
