Sr Data Scientist, AI Products

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team. This role focuses on the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery within a regulated financial services environment.

About the role

You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most.

Location: Remote - US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI product lifecycle from pain point identification to measuring impact
• Design and conduct rigorous experiments to validate AI features and optimize products
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers to align technical roadmap with business goals
• Build and maintain effective training pipelines and evaluation tools in a production environment
• Analyze user feedback to iteratively improve models for maximum impact
• Mentor team members and simplify complex problems to promote high-impact delivery

Qualifications

• Deep product sense with ability to define and measure success metrics
• Experience with product analytics for actionable insights
• Track record of translating model outputs into business results; strong communicator with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in designing, training, and deploying production AI models, especially with transformers and LLMs
• Strong understanding of AI fundamentals, including attention mechanisms and regularization techniques
• Familiarity with advanced AI techniques, such as fine-tuning and knowledge distillation

Pay

$120,000 – $150,000 annually
