Sr. Data Science Analyst

Overview

Indiana University Health is seeking a highly technical, experienced data professional to join our System Strategy Team as a Sr. Data Science Analyst. This role supports IU Health’s enterprise analytics and business intelligence efforts.

Key Relationships

Reports to: Director-Strategic Intelligence and Market Insights
Direct reports: None
Shift: Full-time, hybrid schedule
Location: Indianapolis, IN

The Scope

• Building dashboards and delivering advanced reporting solutions for clinical and operational stakeholders
• Conducting strategic analyses to solve complex business problems
• Integrating and synthesizing data from multiple sources into meaningful insights
• Prioritizing and leading complex, technical projects with minimal oversight
• Mentoring and guiding junior analysts to elevate team capability

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Masters preferred
• Requires Expert Level MS Excel, MS SQL Server, and MS SSRS skills
• Ability to lead teams through complex, technical projects required
• 7–10 years of experience required
• Demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry required
• Significant experience using Tableau, QlikView, Business Objects, Power BI, or other BI tools required
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices strongly preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare claims and billing process preferred
• Knowledge of Indiana healthcare provider landscape preferred
