Sr. Data Ops Engineer

For our client, a leader in the Enterprise Technology space, we are seeking a Senior Data Operations Engineer to join their team. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary responder for production data incidents, diagnosing root causes and ensuring data integrity
• Design and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production data pipelines
• Manage, deploy, and maintain data integrations pipelines and APIs
• Continuously optimize data processing jobs for speed and efficiency
• Develop and enforce data validation and quality checks within the pipelines
• Collaborate with DevOps on the infrastructure that supports the data platform
• Maintain documentation for operational procedures and pipeline architectures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, data science, information technology, or related field
• 5+ years experience in Data Engineering, Data Operations, or SRE roles
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis
• Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Fivetran, DBT, or Workato and API management tools
• Experience with RDBMS including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure

Pay

$112,625 – $145,750 annually
