Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated data quality checks, monitoring, and validation processes across enterprise datasets.
- Support metadata management, lineage, cataloging, tagging, and data standardization initiatives.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define governance requirements and support remediation efforts.
- Create governance documentation, reporting, and operational metrics.
- Configure, support, and enhance governance platforms including metadata cataloging, lineage, and observability solutions.
- Develop custom integrations, connectors, dashboards, and lightweight applications using Python, SQL, Databricks, and related technologies.
- Support governance activities across both structured and unstructured data environments.
- Drive governance tool adoption through training, workshops, playbooks, and stakeholder engagement.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning activities.
- Collaborate closely with data governance analysts, product managers, and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of professional experience, including 1–2+ years supporting Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Quality initiatives.
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, governance frameworks, and unstructured data concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience working across business and technical teams in Agile environments.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with governance platforms such as Atlan, Anomalo, Unity Catalog, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Databricks and cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Exposure to AI-enabled governance, metadata enrichment, and automation solutions.
- Experience supporting enterprise data modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
