About the Role
A Senior Data Analyst in Supply Chain leverages proven technical abilities to synthesize complex analytical tasks into easily understood data-driven stories. This role involves collaborating with other talented analysts to apply established and create new analytical processes on diverse datasets, deducing insights and solving real-world business problems. The position ensures timely completion of reporting and analytical responsibilities, seeks opportunities to learn and hone technical skills, and operates under minimal supervision with mentorship from experienced managers and data scientists.
Responsibilities
- Leverages data analytics tools to create new dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc requests (30%).
- Executes existing reporting and analytical responsibilities (20%).
- Ensures the quality of work output by displaying keen attention to detail (20%).
- Presents findings in easily understood ways, focusing on how data analytics fits into the bigger picture (20%).
- Develops additional technical competencies and subject matter expertise within the core functional group (10%).
Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Finance, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in data mining, statistical analysis, auditing, and/or forecasting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intermediate understanding of SQL or experience working directly with MS Access, joining relational tables, and/or knowledge of another scripting/compiled/statistical programming language (e.g., VBA, Python, R, SAS, .NET, C++, Java).
- Experience building reports/analyses with analytical tools (e.g., Excel, JMP, SAS, Mathematica, SPSS, Tableau).
- Prior direct experience analyzing Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations, or related subject matter.
- Work experience with MS Excel, MS Access, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, or comparable database systems.

Travel & Physical Requirements
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about; occasional need to move or lift light articles.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent unpleasant conditions.
