This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN / Plano, TX / Pittsburgh, PA. Candidates must live within a commutable distance from one of these locations to be eligible for this role. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
Responsibilities
- Fraud Solutions Development & Integration: Drive the hands-on development of comprehensive anti-fraud systems, serving as the primary technical lead for integrating these new security capabilities across existing enterprise tools, legacy platforms, and cloud-native services.
- Application & API Development: Design and develop web applications and REST/SOAP APIs to optimize business processes supported by data and intelligence. Maintain a quality-driven approach to ensure high application uptime and effectiveness.
- Shipper Fraud Remediation: Design, build, and maintain customer-facing digital products and applications specifically aimed at shipper fraud remediation, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience.
- Data Pipeline Engineering: Develop and sustain robust, low-latency ETL pipelines from a wide variety of data sources in both streaming and batch modes to drive automated fraud detection.
- AI-Driven Automation: Leverage Artificial Intelligence and modern automation tools to eliminate manual/repetitive security processes, streamline development workflows, and enhance the efficiency of fraud detection and response mechanisms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong working relationships across functional teams (Product, Operations, Data Science). Lead change with high energy and a strong focus on the mission to close operational loopholes exploited by fraudsters.
- Threat Analysis & Countermeasures: Investigate security events and complex fraud vectors to develop actionable countermeasures, advising management on the business impact of systemic fraud or data alteration.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members, promoting best practices in software development, data engineering, and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related degree, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
- Four (4) years of experience in IT information security.
- General knowledge of hardware, software, and network.
Skills
- Architecture & Design: Strong technical knowledge, including database architecture design and implementation experience.
- Methodology: Hands-on experience working in an Agile & SAFe framework, with a strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, teamwork mindset, and the ability to innovate through modern technology.
- Full-Stack Development: Strong, hands-on programming background required in Java, Spring Boot, Angular (or equivalent), REST/SOAP services, JMS, Kafka, and Unix/Linux environments.
- Data Engineering: Proficiency in data engineering and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Big Query). Experience with Abinitio is a plus.
- Cloud & Modernization: Understanding of cloud infrastructure engineering to drive innovation through modern, cloud-based technology. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a strong plus.
- Intelligent Automation: Experience utilizing AI technologies (e.g., AI coding assistants, Generative AI APIs, or intelligent workflow automation) to accelerate development cycles and automate complex business/security logic is a strong plus.
Pay
US pay range: $7,094.23 - $12,533.14 monthly
