Sr. Custodian
About the role
The Sr. Custodian performs a variety of custodial and housekeeping tasks to care for, maintain, disinfect, sanitize, and preserve campus facilities. Under the direction of the Facilities Services Custodial Supervisor, you will ensure the upkeep of assigned building(s) to provide a safe and clean environment for staff and students. Work may be independent or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines and close turnarounds, while maintaining a positive attitude. You will use initiative to proactively address daily tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty, and students.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, disinfect, and sanitize campus facilities.
- Ensure assigned building(s) are clean and safe for staff and students.
- Work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines.
- Proactively address daily custodial tasks.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty, and students.
Requirements
- Current work authorization to accept a staff position (visa sponsorship is not available).
- Compliance with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as well as federal, state, or local government directives.
Pay
The full salary range for this position is $25.17 - $34.53 per hour, based on education, licensure, certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Schedule
Multiple openings are available on various shifts, including day, swing, and graveyard shifts.
