Sr. Credit Analyst

Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate credit risk for commercial businesses, focusing on tickets up to $500,000.
- Interpret commercial and consumer reports and related information to make sound credit decisions.
- Analyze business financial statements and tax returns to assess the applicant's financial condition and repayment capacity.
- Ensure all transactions comply with NewLane’s Credit policies and procedures.
- Present credit approval summaries to Credit and Senior Management when necessary.
- Qualify and approve equipment dealers and collateral for financing.
- Perform fraud checks and due diligence during the underwriting process.
- Collaborate with Sales, Credit, and Senior Management teams daily.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
- Show strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Understand and adhere to NewLane’s audit procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field required.
- At least 3 years of related experience, preferably in small business financing or leasing.
- A strong understanding of business tax returns, financial statements, and business concepts.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Good knowledge of other functional departments and their interactions with the Credit department.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- A customer service focus and professional approach to managing B2B relationships.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $64,491.00 - $105,949.50, with individual base pay varying based on experience, skills, education, location, and other business needs. Additional compensation may include discretionary and formula-based incentive and retention awards, as well as a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, life, accident, and disability insurance, and wellness programs.
