Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate a credit and collection service while ensuring proper control of the credit function by applying company policy, principles, and guidelines.
• Investigate, prepare, and recommend credit limits for new customers or existing customers, adhering to company policy.
• Coordinate credit limits within sites to ensure customer limits are not exceeded.
• Monitor, review, and update existing credit limits to reflect current market conditions.
• Maintain and monitor receivables and collect past due accounts.
• Improve and maintain customer communication to reduce time spent by sales and marketing personnel resolving credit issues.
• Manage risk using multiple credit agencies.
• Communicate pertinent information received on customers to the appropriate individuals.
• Safeguard assets by controlling and collecting receivables.
• Contract with various collection agencies for outsourced collections.
• Participate in outside credit forums (e.g., NACM, D&B).
• Prepare Court Claim documents for bankrupt customers.
• Monitor and account for D&B report usage.
• Advise, recommend, and provide pertinent credit information to other groups within the corporation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a financial field of study.
• Three or more years of directly relatable experience.
