About the role

LabCorp is seeking a Senior Courier to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. In this position, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to our clients. A company vehicle is provided for the route, with the option to take it home for personal use for $125 per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for various courier routes in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Culver City, Westchester, El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Lomita, Harbor City, San Pedro, Wilmington, Carson, Gardena, Inglewood, Compton, Long Beach, Lynwood, South Gate, Huntington Park, Whittier, East LA, West LA, South Central, Hollywood, Glendale, Cudahy, Bell, Bell Gardens, Downey, Pasadena, Lancaster, and Monrovia
• Deliver on-route training, coaching, and support for new couriers/drivers
• Assist with dispatch tasks and pickups when required
• Load all necessary supplies needed for daily pickup routes
• Complete the daily pickup schedule efficiently and on time
• Deliver all collected items to your assigned branch at the end of each shift
• Handle specimens and lab samples safely and in compliance with all protocols and regulations
• Operate company vehicles safely and follow all traffic laws and company policies
• Use handheld electronic devices to manage, document, and track daily pickups
• Communicate closely with the dispatcher regarding additional or urgent pickups
• Adjust to traffic patterns, weather conditions, and alternative routes as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of previous driver or courier experience
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Strong punctuality and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• 1+ year of customer service experience

Pay

Pay Range: $17.87 - $27.69 per hour, plus 2nd shift differentials. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Schedule

Hours vary Monday - Friday, 11:30 am to 8:00 pm. Overtime and rotating weekends may be required.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
