Responsibilities
- Translate business objectives into practical, scalable technical solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity, delivery speed, quality, and operational efficiency through modern technologies, including AI enabled capabilities.
- Develop technology recommendations and implementation roadmaps that align with business priorities and enterprise architecture.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Influence technical decisions across product, engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams without direct management responsibility.
- Drive modernization efforts through APIs, cloud technologies, platform improvements, and application optimization.
- Improve release quality, reduce technology risk, and promote secure software engineering and DevSecOps best practices.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and engineering standards to elevate overall team capability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical solutions that improve customer and associate experiences.
Requirements
- Experience with Guidewire is preferred but not required.
- Experience applying AI capabilities to improve software delivery, engineering efficiency, or business outcomes.
- Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical problem solving and execution.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree.
- Eight or more years of analysis and technology experience.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript.
- Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to tackle sophisticated business and development problems.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
