Sr Consultant, Risk Researcher

Responsibilities

• Support research and analytics related to catastrophe risk and exposure data
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines for analytics
• Utilize SQL, Python, R, Databricks, and Snowflake to manage and validate large datasets
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in data validation and reporting workflows
• Enhance the efficiency and impact of catastrophe analytics through process improvement and automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, engineering, or finance
• ACAS level actuary credential required; additional progress towards FCAS credential preferred
• Professional experience in P&C pricing or reserving; catastrophe modeling experience is highly preferred
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python and/or R
• Detail-oriented with a naturally curious mindset that drives investigation and quality improvement
