About the role
A division of a Microsoft Solutions Partner with over 22 years of experience, 5x Solutions Partner designations, and 6x Advanced Specializations, is seeking a Senior Consultant, Azure. This full-time position, offering up to 25% travel, is based in Atlanta, either in-person or remotely. It is a hands-on delivery role (~85–90% billable) focused on building, migrating, and modernizing workloads on Microsoft Azure for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy Azure Landing Zones (hub-and-spoke networking, identity, governance, observability) aligned to CAF and Enterprise-Scale.
- Execute Azure datacenter migrations end-to-end — Azure Migrate tooling, wave planning, and production cutover of VMs, file shares, and SQL workloads.
- Modernize 3-tier legacy apps to Azure PaaS — App Service, AKS, Functions, Azure SQL DB/MI, Storage Accounts — including containerization of legacy IIS/.NET/Java workloads.
- Implement governance, identity, and security: Entra ID, Conditional Access, Azure Policy, Key Vault, RBAC, Defender for Cloud.
- Deliver Well-Architected Reviews and Cloud Health Checks across security, cost, performance, and reliability.
- Support pre-sales scoping, LOE, and SOW input; mentor junior consultants.
Requirements
- 6+ years designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong skills across Azure networking (ExpressRoute, VPN, NSGs), IaC (Bicep/Terraform), containers (AKS, Helm), PowerShell, Azure Monitor, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience modernizing 3-tier client/server apps to Azure-native PaaS.
- Consultative communication skills with both technical and business audiences.
Qualifications
- Certifications Required: AZ-104, AZ-305 (or in-progress).
- Strongly Preferred: AZ-500, AZ-204, AZ-700, AZ-400.
Skills
- Strong technical skills in Azure services and tools.
- Experience with cloud migration strategies and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
