About the role

The Senior Construction Project Manager will manage all aspects of multi-million dollar construction, energy services, and HVAC controls projects. This role includes direct responsibility for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction. You will lead the project team through all facets of the project, serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, and support project development efforts to scope total solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales functions by assisting with quote preparation, project development, and proposals.
  • Validate project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, attending pre-bid validation meetings, holding internal meetings, and establishing customer expectations.
  • Responsible for change order management by identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, utilizing pricing strategies, and closing orders to provide total solutions across business streams.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by supporting company initiatives, building customer relationships, investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders for timely project updates.
  • Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee the subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, and collaborate to establish communication guidelines for project progress, meetings, billing expectations, project safety, and professional relationships.
  • Financially manage all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, buy-out plans, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, generating tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical path, resource assignments, identifying future planning needs and resource constraints, and collaborating with Controls PM on project tasks and communications.
  • Lead all aspects of project administration including adherence to contract penalty clauses and liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify deficiencies, providing guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and navigating governing agency requirements at the state, city, county, federal, and local levels.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of the development phase related to construction energy projects and opportunities, with knowledge of all construction systems and technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to mentor other project managers, aptitude to influence without authority, organizational expertise, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Project Management degree.
  • Combination of degree or 7+ years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain a General Contracting license is a plus.
  • Experience with Project Schedules and PM Construction Software.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday: work onsite with colleagues. Fridays: choose your work location, balancing work requirements.

Pay

Annual Base Salary Range: $97,406.66 - $156,200.00. This is a salaried position with incentive eligibility. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
