Sr. Clinical Trials Associate II
About the role
The Sr. Clinical Trials Associate II supports our client's team in Aliso Viejo, CA. The role involves leading coordination of clinical trial activities, advanced review and analysis of clinical data, overseeing study master file management, and mentoring junior CTAs.
Responsibilities
- Lead coordination of clinical trial activities across multiple sites, protocols, and stakeholders with minimal oversight
- Perform advanced review and analysis of clinical data, identifying trends, risks, and discrepancies
- Oversee Study Master File management, ensuring documentation completeness and audit readiness
- Lead site start-up activities, including regulatory binder preparation and SIV documentation review
- Design and maintain tracking systems for site performance, enrollment, adverse events, and payments
- Mentor junior CTAs, support CRA development, and contribute to audits and regulatory inspections
- Coordinate study logistics, including investigational product supply and site support
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Clinical Trials Associate, preferably in ophthalmology
- Advanced expertise in clinical trial execution, including start-up, conduct, and close-out
- Strong knowledge of GCP, FDA, and international regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple studies or complex program components
- Experience leading data review, cleaning, and issue resolution
- Skilled in Study Master File management and audit/inspection readiness
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; able to work with minimal supervision

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is expected to be between $62.64 – 78.34 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
