Sr Clinical Training & Development Specialist
Job Summary
The Senior Clinical Training & Development Specialist supports the delivery of high-quality clinical and sales training across the organization. Working closely with the Clinical Training & Development Manager and Regional Clinic Managers, this role facilitates structured training programs, delivers in-clinic coaching, and supports the onboarding of new providers.
Job Responsibilities
Training, Coaching & Development (Virtual and On-Site)
- Facilitate structured training sessions focused on clinical excellence, patient journey management, and sales methodology.
- Deliver in-clinic coaching, shadowing, and observational feedback to providers.
- Identify provider skill gaps and provide targeted developmental support.
- Collaborate with Education and Sales Training teams to ensure alignment with organizational training objectives.
Onboarding Support
- Support the end-to-end onboarding experience for new providers in partnership with regional leadership.
- Facilitate onboarding milestones, including virtual and in-person check-ins.
- Assist in building role-specific onboarding plans under the direction of the Manager.
- Track and report onboarding progress and performance indicators to the Manager.
Event Support & Field Engagement
- Coach providers on scripting, objection handling, patient approach, and event-based sales opportunities.
- Assist providers and clinics in executing workshop or open house events.
- Model professional, ethical, and patient-centered communication practices.
Content & Program Support
- Assist in developing and refining onboarding materials, training guides, and learning resources.
- Provide field insights and feedback to the Manager to inform program improvements.
- Support evaluation of training effectiveness through observation and provider feedback.
Job Requirements
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Active licensure as a Hearing Instrument Specialist or Audiologist required.
Experience
- 2–4+ years of clinical experience in hearing care.
- Some experience delivering training, coaching, or mentoring in a clinical or retail setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of retail sales strategies and consultative selling.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and hearing industry software.
WORK CONTEXT
Working Conditions
- Remote role with nationwide travel up to 75%.
- Work performed in office, clinic, and event environments.
- Occasional evenings and weekends required.
Equipment Operation
- Standard office equipment.
Salary And Other Compensation
The target rate for this position is between $75,460 to $98,000/year.
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
