Sr Clinical Support Staff Scientist
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinical Support staff scientist, you will serve as a key member of our team, driving clinical excellence and innovation in MRI technology. Everyday you will apply, in collaboration with the Department Director and Medical Director, expertise to serve as the clinical staff scientist team lead, oversee the MR quality assurance and accreditation programs, advise on the MR safety program, continuously review and seek opportunities for improving MR image quality, assist new equipment purchase and installation, and educate fellows and MRI technologists.
- Conduct innovative research to develop cutting-edge techniques to improve the diagnostic value of MRI technology and patient care at the institution.
- Assist internal and external MRI investigators.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and internal/external MRI investigators to improve MRI techniques.
- Write and assist grant applications.
- Represent the institution in the MRI scientific community.
- Mentor junior researchers.
Responsibilities
Serve as the clinical staff scientist team lead, oversee the MR quality assurance and accreditation programs, advise on the MR safety program, continuously review and seek opportunities for improving MR image quality, assist new equipment purchase and installation, educate radiology fellows on advanced MR imaging techniques and applications.
MR Equipment Quality Assurance and Accreditation Management
- Supervise the routine QA measures performed by technologists.
- Oversees and performs ACR annual quality testing.
- Aid the installation of ancillary equipment related to MR systems.
- MR imaging personnel and radiology fellow education.
- Education radiology fellows on advanced MR imaging techniques and applications.
Job Requirements
- Required: Successful completion of Post-Doctoral fellowship, and Doctorate Of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or medical physics or neuropsychology; D.Sc. or M.D and 3-4 years training/experience in graduate research.
- PREFERRED: PhD degree, Board Certified Medical Physicist, or Chief Power Engineer.

Pay Range
$69.41 - $103.25 /hour
