Sr. Category Manager – IT

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Category Manager – IT to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead IT category strategy within a healthcare organization, with a strong emphasis on procurement, sourcing, and supplier management. The position partners closely with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide savings, alignment, and operational value. It also requires deep expertise in software licensing, SaaS negotiations, and developing high-performing team members in a complex business environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $115,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Develop and execute multiyear category strategies aligned with business objectives Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including supplier selection and negotiation Manage key supplier relationships and continuous improvement efforts Directly supervise and develop procurement team members Champion cross-functional initiatives and influence senior leaders toward enterprise goals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or a related field 3+ years of direct people leadership experience preferred Deep expertise in software licensing and SaaS negotiations Proven ability to manage complex procurement initiatives and deliver measurable savings Benefits Opportunities for professional development and mentorship Coaching and feedback to support career growth Close collaboration with executive stakeholders Involvement in strategic business alignment initiatives Exposure to innovative digital procurement technologies Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
