Sr. Buyer / Sourcing Specialist - Fridays off!
About the Opportunity
We're partnering with a growing, privately held manufacturing company to add a Sr. Buyer / Sourcing Specialist to their team. With ~150 employees, this is a collaborative, mid-sized environment where your contributions will have high visibility and impact.
What You'll Do
- Purchase new and existing components based on ERP-driven demand (domestic & international suppliers)
- Manage supplier relationships, including pricing, lead times, and terms negotiation
- Monitor and adjust orders (expedite/de-expedite) to align with changing demand
- Plan and execute purchasing strategies to optimize inventory levels and costs
- Support new product development with sourcing and supplier selection
- Identify and onboard alternate suppliers to improve cost, quality, or availability
- Track shipments and incoming orders using freight/logistics tools
- Maintain supplier scorecards and support performance reviews
- Ensure accurate documentation for procurement activity and compliance
What You Bring
- 2-5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within an ERP/MRP system (Syteline is a plus)
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
- APICS/CSCP or similar certification
- Experience sourcing internationally
