Sr. Buyer - Logistics
About the role
The Sr Buyer Logistics – North America will be responsible for the end-to-end management, optimization, and governance of logistics operations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The role encompasses transportation management, 3PL oversight, customs brokerage coordination, bonded warehousing, embellishment and pallet management, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regional logistics operations across USMCA countries (US, Canada, Mexico), ensuring seamless cross-border execution
- Oversee and optimize multi-modal transportation (road, ocean, and air freight), including carrier selection, routing, and cost control
- Manage and govern Third-Party Logistics Providers (3PLs), including performance management through KPIs and SLAs
- Cook up activities with customs brokers to ensure full compliance with import/export regulations and trade requirements
- Supervisory responsibility for bonded warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with customs and fiscal regulations
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulations, including USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) and country-specific trade laws
- Drive cost optimization initiatives across freight, storage, handling, and duties/taxes
- Manage pallet programs (returnable packaging, pooling, control, and tracking)
- Lead contract negotiation and vendor management for logistics service providers
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (process optimization, network redesign, cost reduction)
- Act as the primary interface between logistics operations and internal stakeholders (Procurement, Planning, Customer Service, Finance)
- Support risk management and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, with regional scope in North America/Mexico
- Proven experience in:
- International and domestic transportation management
- 3PL vendor management and governance
- Customs processes and cross-border operations
- Bonded warehousing operations
- Experience managing pallet systems and returnable transport items (RTI)
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
- Spanish proficiency (strongly preferred)
- Experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS systems
Qualifications
- Experience operating across all three countries (US, Canada, Mexico)
- Certification in supply chain/logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CLTD) is a plus
- Experience in regulated industries or complex distribution networks

Pay
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $100,000- $125,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
