Responsibilities

• Establish the supply chain for new product development within the Powered Vehicle Group (PVG) Sourcing Team to support Tier 1 OEM automotive customers.
• Manage supplier choice, prototyping, and production builds while adhering to development schedules.
• Oversee project material cost impacts and changes; conduct supplier quoting, selection, and issue special build POs considering project scope, budget, and margin targets.
• Lead cross-functional team project reviews at each phase.
• Execute and communicate engineering prototype and developmental demands.
• Ensure open communication of project status to all stakeholders, collaborating with Engineering, Test, Manufacturing, Planning, Document Control, Quality Control, Purchasing, and Sourcing.
• Track supplier communication, cost, and schedules through BOM reviews and cost-down activities.
• Manage the transition of parts from development to production buyers/procurement.
• Facilitate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews between project teams and suppliers to identify opportunities in part design and supplier processes.
• Initiate the onboarding process for new suppliers and ensure all system setups are complete.
• Travel up to 10% domestically to manufacturing locations (Georgia & California).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or engineering.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible Tier 1 Automotive purchasing and material control experience, with program buying experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, and prioritization skills.
• Familiarity with ERP and BOM systems.
• Ability to operate as a project lead across multiple projects and disciplines.
• Ability to build consensus and drive decision-making in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle knowledge.
• Experience with manufacturing processes.
• Project management or supply chain experience.
