Job Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst brings a data-driven approach to solving company problems and providing strategic insight. The role will entail ownership of key projects across the company and include gathering, cleaning, and optimizing data for building dashboards, reports, models, and analysis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages complex analyses based on large scale and high dimensional operational and financial data to measure the performance of initiatives, evaluate potential operational changes, and provide actionable insights to business partners.
  • Research, hypothesize and develop analytical approaches for identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Develop benchmarks, robust reporting, interactive dashboards, and key metrics across business departments to drive strategic planning, optimize profitability, revenue, and sales growth.
  • Be the owner of cross-functional projects where you will examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to business partners internally and externally to clients.
  • Uses data to build the business case for making a change to current practices, programs, or procedures. Partners with stakeholders on the design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of business process changes to improve business outcomes. May lead or provide support to the implementation and evaluation of sophisticated business process changes.
  • Develops, updates, and analyzes metrics to determine operational and financial performance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 4 years of experience or Master’s degree with 2 years of experience
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint and experience with at least one data visualization tool like Qlikview/Qliksense, Power BI, Tableau etc. Qlikview/Qliksense preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL/Snowflake or any other relational database
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and employ critical thinking to address business challenges
  • Prior proven experience in delivering analytical solutions in predictive manner
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data into presentations and visualizations
  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects, have a can-do attitude and continual improvement mindset to look for and introduce best practices and not afraid to question the status quo
  • Strong attention to detail and good communication skill

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of statistical concepts i.e. regression, decision tree, random forest etc
  • Solid understanding of Python or R
  • Advance degree or certificate in Statistics, Predictive Modeling or Data Mining
