About the Role
The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in implementing and supporting Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions for logistics clients. This position collaborates with operations, clients, and technical teams to design system integrations, optimize warehouse workflows, lead testing efforts, and support successful system deployments. The role directly impacts the efficiency and scalability of warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements via Statements of Work, functional documents, process maps, and workflows.
- Lead data mapping integration activities across client and internal systems, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Develop and execute integration, system, and user acceptance testing plans, coordinating with clients and stakeholders.
- Create ad hoc SQL queries for reporting, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Design, test, and support WMS enhancements, integrations, and system extensions.
- Provide Level 2 application support, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with technical teams.
- Participate in solution design reviews for new implementations and system improvements.
- Develop instructional and procedural documentation to support system adoption.
- Identify opportunities for workflow, integration, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, site requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED required; relevant leadership experience may substitute for higher education.
- A minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst in supply chain, warehousing, logistics, or distribution.
- Hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS (SCALE).
- Proficiency in writing and analyzing SQL queries.
- Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications and documentation.
- Experience with integration and interface data mapping using EDI and XML.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- An associate or bachelor's degree in IT, supply chain, logistics, business, or related field.
- Experience supporting warehouse fulfillment, distribution, or logistics.
- Knowledge of JSON and SOAP integrations.
- Experience with WMS enhancements and system customizations.
- Experience developing training materials and end-user documentation.
- Experience in application troubleshooting and client-facing implementations.
- Familiarity with cross-functional project teams and deployments.
