Sr Business Analyst

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey • Job type: Contract • Work hours: 8am to 5pm

About the role

Candidate will be responsible for the implementation of business solutions across PBMRT. The role requires significant contributions to the design, development, and completion of project deliverables. You will research and design solutions for work defined in PB house and reg margin calculators, ensure designs meet requirements, secure business-partner approval, and communicate designs to the development team for coding, testing, and platform integration.

Responsibilities

• Work with business users to prioritize work items
• Analyze and understand existing data, job flows, and components
• Assist in investigating production issues and provide solutions
• Recommend new solutions to existing problems or challenges
• Collaborate with multiple teams in different locations and time zones
• Document solutions, business requirements, and testing requirements using JIRA

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working with different levels of management and high attention to detail
• AI-first SDLC cycle approach
• Strong sense of ownership and personal investment in project success; self-driven
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Understanding of agile methodologies
• Experience participating in large or complex projects
• Proficiency in data management with strong data analytical capability
• Ability to engage and leverage teams and business partners to deliver business solutions efficiently
• Application development experience in Java and Python, SQL
• Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in the banking industry
• Financial products experience (required)
• Risk and product evaluation knowledge (a plus)

Desired Skills

• Experience and understanding of risk and product evaluation
• Experience using Co-pilot for agent-first development
• Experience managing CI/CD infrastructure in Bitbucket/Jenkins
• Manage Java project dependencies with Maven and related utilities

Pay

$54.62 - 64.62 per hour
