Sr. Business Analyst (AI/Data Modernization)

About the role

Neos is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (AI / Data Modernization) for a long-term contract role with our client in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid position, with onsite days subject to the hiring manager's discretion. The contract is for 12 months, with potential for renewal.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Analyst will work with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities, define business needs, facilitate requirements, analyze processes, support strategic planning, and help deliver enterprise-wide solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience on technology-focused initiatives
• Experience supporting AI, Generative AI, data, analytics, automation, or digital transformation projects
• Strong ability to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
• Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional discussions
• Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements and recommendations
• Experience assessing and improving business processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication
• Experience working with technical teams, product owners, project managers, architects, and business stakeholders
• Experience supporting Agile and/or Scrum delivery teams

Preferred Qualifications

• AI strategy, governance, or implementation initiatives experience
• Data governance, data management, reporting, analytics, or modernization efforts experience
• Enterprise technology implementations or modernization programs experience
• Microsoft ecosystem experience (Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, Foundry, etc.)
• Experience working in large enterprise or public-sector environments
