About the role

We are seeking a Senior Build & Release Engineer to help modernize our delivery, integration, testing, and deployment processes. This role is essential for advancing the implementation of our next-generation platform solutions (GRID MODERNIZATION).

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and deploy Kubernetes-based platform solutions, ensuring seamless integration for our GridOS technologies.
  • Work with services and technology teams to define and implement CI/CD best practices and evolve standardization of deployments.
  • Contribute to the team and work independently, collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment.
  • Support the team in maturing automated deployment and container utilization strategies to improve customer deliveries.
  • Break down problems and estimate time for quality-related tasks, increasing task level and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Collaborate with both internal and external customers to deliver and deploy Kubernetes for our next-generation solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or related tooling.
  • 3 years’ experience with Shell, Python, UNIX/Linux, scripting.

Desired Characteristics

  • Technical Expertise: 3-4 years of experience in supporting industry standard core CI/CD infrastructure components: Nexus/Artifactory, Terraform, Ansible, Code Coverage tools, Security tools etc.
  • Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/SQL).
  • Solid understanding of computer networking.
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills and approach.
  • Proficiency in the setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of one or more server operating system families (Linux, Windows).
  • Automation/DevOps experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with AWS technology and methodologies.
  • Understanding of the importance of Build and Release as part of the development life cycle and with reference to continuous integration process.
  • Understanding of different software environments like Development, QA, and Production.

  • Business Acumen: Displays understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer; shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer; understands how the business solves the problem in specific domain areas using the technology (Ex: Energy Management domain); proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team; able to navigate accountability in a matrixed organization; communicates and demonstrates a shared sense of purpose; learns from failure.
