About the role
Amazon Music is hiring a Sr Brand Manager to join our Artist Merchandise team. The Amazon Music Merchandise team is responsible for building a destination of official music merchandise and connecting fans and artists through merch. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day brand development of our strategic artist partners, delivering full-service coordination across creative services, apparel and accessory production, ecommerce, and pop-up/events. This includes day-to-day management of event collection launches that align with the brand vision, drive revenue, and build great artist partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end brand development strategy for strategic artist partners, serving as the primary point of contact for artist teams and management
- Pitch, secure, and manage artist merchandise partnerships that drive mutual value for artists and the Amazon Music Merch business
- Develop and execute comprehensive business plans for artist retail merchandise collections, including revenue targets, margin goals, and growth strategies
- Lead full-service coordination across creative services, apparel and accessory production, ecommerce, and pop-up/live events
- Collaborate with creative directors and manufacturers to develop innovative, on-brand products that resonate with fan communities
- Manage day-to-day execution of event collection launches, ensuring alignment with brand vision while driving revenue to the bottom line
- Own P&L accountability for assigned artist partnerships with a focus on revenue margin optimization and delivering significant top and bottom-line results
- Leverage data and analytics to inform business decisions, identify growth opportunities, and measure collection performance
- Drive internal cross-team collaboration across creative, operations, supply chain, marketing, and finance teams
- Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Identify and evaluate new artist partnership opportunities that align with the business's growth strategy
Requirements
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Senior Leadership
- 6+ years of experience in brand management, merchandise/product development, or artist partnerships within the music, entertainment, or consumer products industry
- 5+ years of experience developing and executing business plans with P&L ownership, including revenue targets, margin optimization, and top/bottom-line accountability
- 5+ years of experience managing external partnerships or client relationships, including pitching, negotiating, and securing deals with artists, talent management, or brand partners
- Experience managing ecommerce product launches or retail merchandise collections from concept through execution
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in artist merchandise, licensed consumer products, or music industry brand development with demonstrated revenue growth
- Experience managing pop-up retail activations, live event merchandise, or experiential commerce programs
- Proven track record of building and scaling artist or talent-driven merchandise businesses, delivering measurable YoY revenue and margin improvement
- Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform product assortment decisions, identify growth opportunities, and optimize collection performance
- Deep relationships within the music industry, including artist management, labels, and creative agencies
- Experience working within a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment where you built processes and mechanisms from the ground up
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field
Pay
USA, CA, Culver City - $119,600.00 - $161,900.00 USD annually
