Sr. Blockchain Java Developer (FTE / Hybrid)

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Blockchain Java Developer to join our hybrid team in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members on implementation approaches for web applications using blockchain technology.
• Own and deliver functional scope of applications leveraging blockchain technology, meeting quality standards.
• Solve solution engineering challenges to meet stakeholder requirements and expectations.
• Apply best practices and design patterns for enterprise web applications and web3 applications.
• Use collaborative tools to manage and deliver work in a distributed team.
• Contribute to and maintain technical documentation for code and applications.
• Communicate effectively in a distributed team and help resolve or escalate issues to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; MS or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline is a plus.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in the full software development and testing lifecycle; experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
• 5 to 7 years of experience and expertise with backend web development using Java Spring.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in web3 application development is a plus.
• 1 to 3 years of experience developing web applications using asynchronous programming and communication.
• Experience developing web applications adhering to best practices for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Familiarity with web3 libraries like Web3J and Web3JS is a plus.
• Familiarity with common and best practices for web3 applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with Solidity code and best practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps basics and containerized applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology and Scrum is a plus.

Skills

• Strong team player with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, and a start-up mindset.
• Proven history of delivering high-quality, increasingly complex, commercial software products.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, including testing, code reviews, and writing readable, maintainable code.
• Hands-on development experience as a full-stack developer building enterprise-grade web applications.
• Excellent computer science fundamentals: demonstrable command of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns, with the ability to translate them into working, elegant code.
• Intricate knowledge of tools for consistent deployment and management of applications, such as Git, Jira, Jenkins, and Helm Charts.

Pay

The starting pay range for this role is $100,224.00 to $150,336.00. Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
