About the role

The Sr Biomedical Equipment Technician will administer the daily operations of a specific service shop within the organization. Daily tasks include providing critical repair, incoming inspection, calibration, and maintenance services for a wide range of medical treatment and diagnostic equipment. The technician ensures the optimal functionality and safety of vital patient care technology.

Responsibilities

  • Administers daily operations of a specific service shop within the organization.
  • Provides critical repair, incoming inspection, calibration, and maintenance services for a wide range of medical treatment and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ensures the optimal functionality and safety of vital patient care technology.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance, safety tests, and calibration.
  • Repairs equipment and prioritizes workload with minimal supervision.
  • Manages work order records and resolves customer service issues.
  • Orders parts and supplies for equipment servicing.
  • Cross-trains technicians and collaborates with colleagues.
  • Backfills CE Lead as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, upon hire or equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, upon hire or equivalent training validated through training certifications or equivalent experience, upon hire.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing technical equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Preferred: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician, upon hire.

Preferred

  • Preferred: Certification in relevant field, upon hire.
