This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed systems for feature-flag delivery
- Enhance reliability, latency, and scalability of streaming and polling infrastructure
- Diagnose and resolve complex production issues as part of an on-call rotation
- Collaborate with SDK and product teams on feature-flag distribution
- Write well-tested code; engage in code and design reviews
- Make architectural decisions balancing performance, cost, and operability
- Improve observability and operational processes for Flag Delivery
Qualifications
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience, especially with distributed or high-throughput systems
- Proven ability in designing, building, and debugging low-latency services
- Experience with production ownership and on-call responsibilities
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Rust, Python) and familiarity with AWS or similar cloud services
- Knowledge in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) and observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, New Relic)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including concurrency and failure handling
- Ability to write clear, maintainable code and effectively collaborate on technical designs
Pay
$191,800 – $263,670 annually
