Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and core platform services, while ensuring reliability, performance, and lifecycle management of production environments.
- Build, automate, and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or equivalent), promoting repeatable, version-controlled, and peer-reviewed deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure infrastructure issues across compute, storage, networking, and platform services to maintain operational stability.
- Design and maintain secure Azure networking architectures, including Private Endpoints, Private Link, hub-and-spoke topologies, segmented virtual networks, and secure connectivity for PaaS and IaaS workloads.
- Design, implement, and operate backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions, including Azure Site Recovery, while leading backup and recovery testing.
- Partner with application development teams to enable secure, scalable PaaS environments, CI/CD pipelines, and resilient application-to-service communication patterns.
- Translate application and business requirements into secure, scalable, and highly available Azure infrastructure architectures that align with operational and resiliency objectives.
- Collaborate with IT Operations, Security, and external partners while providing infrastructure expertise during architecture reviews, production changes, maintenance windows, and incident response.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering with extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
- Proven experience operating and optimizing production Azure environments with a strong understanding of cloud operations, performance, and reliability.
- Deep expertise in Azure networking, security, identity, and secure private networking architectures, including modern connectivity patterns.
- Strong experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar) to automate, standardize, and modernize Azure infrastructure deployments.
- Experience designing and supporting backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions, including Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, and Azure SQL backup models.
- Experience supporting modern Azure application platforms, serverless architectures, and cloud modernization initiatives, with the ability to bridge legacy and cloud-native environments.
- Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure AI Foundry is highly preferred to support integration and AI-focused initiatives.
- Financial services or other regulated industry experience is preferred, with the ability to deliver secure, compliant cloud infrastructure solutions.
Pay
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 *depending on experience*
