About the role
Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud architectures while leading enterprise cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Establish robust networking, connectivity, and content delivery solutions using AWS services such as Direct Connect, PrivateLink, CloudFront, and Route 53.
- Enforce cloud security, governance, and compliance through IAM, Organizations, KMS, WAF, and AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices.
- Build and optimize DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability capabilities using AWS CodePipeline, CodeCommit, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
- Drive cost optimization, develop reusable cloud standards and documentation, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to delivery teams on AWS solutions and cloud-native best practices.
- Design secure, scalable, and resilient end-to-end AWS architectures that support critical enterprise applications using services such as Amazon S3, Amazon Elastic File System, Amazon EBS, and AWS Elastic Load Balancing.
- Develop cloud migration and modernization strategies aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles to improve reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization for large-scale workloads.
- Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to translate business requirements into AWS solutions that balance agility, compliance, and long-term maintainability.
- Implement highly available networking topologies using AWS Direct Connect and AWS PrivateLink to establish reliable, private connectivity between on-premises data centers and AWS environments.
- Configure and manage Amazon CloudFront, Amazon Route 53, and AWS Certificate Manager to deliver low-latency, secure, and compliant content distribution and DNS management for global users.
- Establish robust identity and access management models using AWS IAM, AWS Organizations, and AWS Key Management Service to enforce least-privilege access, encryption by default, and centralized governance.
- Implement application and network protection using AWS WAF and related security controls to mitigate common web threats and ensure secure exposure of APIs and web applications.
- Perform architecture reviews and design validations to ensure adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework pillars, including operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
- Build and maintain DevOps pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeCommit, and AWS CLI to enable automated build, test, and deployment processes for application teams.
- Define monitoring and observability standards using Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail to capture metrics, logs, and audit events that improve incident response and operational visibility.
- Drive cost management initiatives by analyzing resource utilization patterns, rightsizing compute and storage services, and recommending lifecycle policies for Amazon S3 and Amazon EBS.
- Create detailed technical documentation, reference architectures, and reusable patterns that help delivery teams implement consistent, repeatable AWS solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams by explaining AWS service capabilities, design trade-offs, and best practices for building cloud-native applications.
