Sr. Aviation Analyst / ATC Specialist

Seeking qualified professionals to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aviation safety is a collaborative government-industry initiative that integrates multiple safety databases to proactively detect hazards, monitor known risks, and evaluate safety mitigations across the National Airspace System.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end meeting planning and logistics coordination.
  • Provide planning services for Safety Team, regional, national, and international meetings, and safety conferences.
  • Provide support required to arrange meeting locations, prepare meeting sites, and logistical support.
  • Coordinate planning for, develop, and disseminate content and publications for meetings and conferences.
  • Analyze aviation operational, regulatory, and safety issues supporting safety in the NAS.
  • Develop and evaluate recommendations to improve aviation safety and operational performance.
  • Support policy development and the creation of standards, guidance, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct data-driven analysis, technical studies, and research to support program objectives.
  • Prepare technical reports, findings, and recommendations for Government and stakeholder use.
  • Support development of briefings, position papers, and technical guidance to inform FAA and stakeholder decision-making.
  • Collaborate with team members, FAA program offices, and industry stakeholders on analytical and operational initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of direct aviation experience in flight operations, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a pilot with a commercial or airline transport pilot rating (as appropriate) or experience as a certified air traffic controller.
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident (minimum 3+ years of U.S. residency) and Public Trust approval.

Applicant Preferences

  • Experience working with FAA Headquarters and supporting cross-organizational collaboration and executive-level communications.
  • Applied technical expertise in aviation safety programs or aviation-related domains.
  • Experience supporting development of technical studies, operational recommendations, or aviation guidance materials.
