About the role

The Sr. Application Desktop Associate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining backend systems, including Golang Teamcenter libraries, NX ufunc, Capital Harness DRC libraries, and other reusable and extensible codebases. This role involves managing and enhancing microservices infrastructure while contributing to web development tasks as needed. It requires a self-driven individual who is proactive in staying current with emerging technologies and can collaborate effectively with a small team of developers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Golang Teamcenter libraries, NX ufunc, Capital Harness DRC libraries, and other reusable and extensible codebases.
  • Manage and maintain microservices within the technology stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with web applications.
  • Maintain self-driven or time-driven projects.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to ensure systems remain cutting-edge.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API integrations and microservices.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable and efficient backend systems.
  • Advocate and arbitrate for the best design solutions based on requirements, including occasional mid-cycle adaptations.
  • Leverage LLMs to accelerate solution delivery while understanding their limitations.
  • Integrate disparate tools into a PLM suite, such as simulations, requirements management, MBSE, or unique systems, and explain requirements in detail.
  • Collaborate with a team and share knowledge.
  • Work with Teamcenter RAC and Active Workspace, including development and large data migrations/transforms.
  • Work directly with infrastructure/architecture across various virtualization platforms.
  • Deliver results in uncharted digital territories as applied to business needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Golang, C#, JavaScript, and Vue, or equivalent languages.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools and CAD/CAM or other revision-based content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of PDM and complex PLM philosophies as applicable to business use cases.
  • Experience integrating disparate tools into a PLM suite (e.g., simulations, requirements management, MBSE).
  • Experience with Teamcenter RAC and Active Workspace.
  • Hands-on experience with large data migrations/transforms.
  • Ability to work directly with infrastructure/architecture across various virtualization platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with two (2) years of software development experience focused on backend systems.
  • Graduate Degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of software development experience focused on backend systems.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of six (6) years of software development experience focused on backend systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Active Secret Clearance.

Schedule

1st Shift, 9/80 work schedule (on-site in Greenville, TX).
