Sr. Associate, Accounting - Controllers Group
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated accountant to join the Controllers Group as a Senior Accounting Associate with a focus on agile project execution. You will be a self-starter responsible for managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. The Controllers Group supports the financial implementation of new products, services, and systems with countless opportunities for knowledge growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact and own various projects in pipeline from the planning phase through delivery and stabilization
- Lead and assist in the development, testing, and implementation of project requirements
- Collaborate with several teams across the organization on the Enterprise Wide initiatives and Premium Card programs
- Facilitate the consistent use of the Agile methodology for delivering projects
- Present results, findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
- Contribute to Process Improvement through project development and knowledge sharing with a well-governed mindset
- Participate in key corporate projects such as technology and data transformation, process improvement, and business initiatives
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and stay connected on process or product changes
- Demonstrate ability to maintain effectiveness in a constantly changing environment
- Apply integrative thinking in complex situations, identify issues, and propose solutions
- Demonstrate analytical skills and ability to integrate information from different sources to solve problems and improve processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or military experience
- At least 2 years of experience driving projects in accounting, external financial reporting, audit, finance, or a combination
- At least 1 year of experience with Google Office or Microsoft Office products, or a combination
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 3+ years of experience driving projects in Accounting

Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
- McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Associate, Accounting
- Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Accounting
- Wilmington, DE: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Accounting
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
