Sr Assoc/ Manager, Investments & Valuation

About the Role

Our client, a privately held energy and infrastructure organization, is seeking an investments & valuation candidate to join its investment and transactions team. This individual will play a key role in evaluating and executing strategic investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and asset-level transactions across a growing portfolio of energy infrastructure assets. The position offers significant exposure to financial modeling, valuation, transaction execution, and investment strategy while working alongside senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investment and acquisition opportunities
  • Perform asset, portfolio, and platform valuations utilizing a variety of financial and operational assumptions
  • Analyze transaction structures, financing alternatives, capital requirements, and risk-adjusted returns
  • Support acquisition, divestiture, joint venture, and strategic investment activities
  • Participate in commercial, financial, legal, tax, technical, and regulatory due diligence processes
  • Prepare investment memoranda, executive presentations, and materials for internal approval processes
  • Conduct market research and support investment thesis development
  • Assist with transaction negotiations through scenario analysis and financial evaluation
  • Support post-transaction integration, reporting, and transition activities
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, project finance, infrastructure investing, corporate development, or M&A
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate recommendations effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel periodically as needed
