Sr Applied Scientist - Allocation Optimization

Role Overview

As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will focus on mathematical optimization for regional store allocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Extend constraint-based, multi-objective allocation frameworks.
• Adapt models to regional business rules including capacity, lead times, and clearance logic.
• Perform model retraining and tuning for new store regions.
• Provide explainability outputs for regional business teams.

Technical Requirements

• Mathematical optimization: Linear programming, constraint satisfaction, multi-objective.
• Programming: Python (PuLP, OR-Tools, Gurobi).
• Domain Knowledge: Retail inventory allocation and replenishment logic.
• Infrastructure: SageMaker, Lambda integration, and federated data architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Operations research background and experience scaling optimization models across geographies.
