Job Summary
MPS is looking for an Applications Engineer to join the Automotive BMS Product Line.
Responsibilities
- Testing and debugging products
- Developing application notes
- Solving customer problems
- Creating PCB schematics, bill of materials, and layouts for EV kits and reference designs
- Supporting GUI and basic Python scripting for the control of battery management systems
- Assisting in writing application notes, test specifications, datasheets, and other customer collateral
- Supporting key customers
Essential Functions
- Work with technical marketing engineers, application engineers, design engineers, test engineers to ensure product specifications are achieved
- Create PCB schematics, bill of materials, and layouts for EV kits and reference designs
- Support GUI and basic Python scripting for the control of battery management systems
- Aid in writing application notes, test specifications, datasheets, and other customer collateral
- Support key customers
Preferred Qualification
- MSEE or higher
- 2-5+ years experience (BMS experience preferred)
- Battery knowledge such as SOC/SOH derivations
- Experience with Cadence Orcad tool
- Experience with DMM’s, Oscilloscopes, Source Measurement Units, Signal Generators, Temperature Chambers, Spectrum Analyzers
- Familiarity with Python scripting and instrument control
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent communication in English
